Work as a New Yorker
See that man playing the flute?
He feels what you see, dude
A New-yorker blood in his veins
Commands him, his refrain
He fights misery again
Enjoys his talents and prays
Gives himself presents
Then takes the subway.
Some bucks in his pocket
Makes his body survive
An artist who use his gifs
Is not dead, he is alive!
Keep walking, fight is not in vain
Time is everything
In the Big Apple plan.
Follow him, you'll say
That's worthy his way
Follow his steps so you'll reach
But always remember
This is not Manhatan Beach.
Learn from him
Beautiful face
Keep yourself with this heart,
And follow some others
Work on your music
Work as a New Yorker.
Slow down, hey!
Don't mix all the things
You're a California woman
Not a New-yorker teen.
Slow down, hey!
You almost slipt
That happens frequently
On the New York streets!
You must learn this
Learn first from what you see
Then make your business
Make your history
For the New yorker artist
Time is everything
Work hard, fight misery.
But first slow down
And learn how to breath
Then you can run with him
Watch him carefully.
Learn from him
Beautiful face
Keep yourself with this heart,
And follow some others
Work on your music
Work as a New Yorker.
Now you!
Now you wanna play that flute
You have learned
So take this subway, dude
Get some bucks in your pocket
And you'll fly like a rocket
Fight now, go ahead
Never stop it!
Live the music and dream
Theaters wait for you in rainbow colors
Hide among the buildings and hours
Die this grey and black like a spell
Lights full of fairy-tales I tell
Learn from him
Beautiful face
Keep yourself with this heart,
And follow some others
Work on your music
Work as a New Yorker.
